1.

Nerve Conduction Studies

Tailored Quality Studies of Motor and Sensory Nerves.

Nerve Conduction Studies (NCSs) is a diagnostic procedure that measures how fast the electrical signals travel through the nerves. It provides unparalleled information that helps with making the diagnosis of peripheral nervous system pathologies such as carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, polyneuropathies, myopathies and myasthenia gravis among other diagnoses.

2.

Electromyography

Tailored Examination of muscles with a concentric needle.

Electromyography (EMG) is a diagnostic test that measures the electrical activity of the muscles to assess the health of the muscles and nerves that connect to them. EMGs are often performed in conjunction with NCSs.

3.

Neuromuscular Ultrasound

The state-of-art procedure that provides complementary data to EMG/NCS for an accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Neuromuscular Ultrasound provides additional data such as the size and brightness of the nerves and muscles. It complements EMG/ NCSs, and it provides data that could potentially change the management in specific circumstances.

Neuromuscular Ultrasound is an evolving field and there is emerging data on its application in neuromuscular medicine. Currently, there is level A evidence (highest level of evidence) from AANEM practice parameter for the application of neuromuscular ultrasound for the diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome and level B evidence for the diagnosis of cubital tunnel syndrome.

2.

What's Neuromuscular Ultrasound?

Neuromuscular Ultrasound is the state-of-art diagnostic procedure in neuromuscular medicine. It provides complementary information to EMG/ NCS. It provides detailed information about the nerves, muscles and surrounding tissues. It can show changes in size, shape, and color that occur when muscles or nerves are injured or diseased.

3.

Why Pinpoint Neurodiagnostics?

Pinpoint Neurodiagnostics  provide each patient with a tailored protocol for their studies based on their specific complaints and neurological examination. We do specific state-of-art studies such as single fiber EMG and neuromuscular ultrasound based on the patients' complaint to provide our patients and referring providers with the most comprehensive report. We get the studies done in a timely manner and provide with the same-day official report.
